Does anyone know any more details besides "it is opening"? any exact dates?

The most exact date they have right now is January 2009.

They are supposed to be having some sort of "audition" shows throughout the day and then a final show where they compete for the top prize.  This prize has been mentioned to be a guaranteed audition on a future American Idol show, that is not having to wait with the thousands of others.

But since this is still several months away it probably will change and be refined between now and then.
