Disney Channel question?

Back in the day, Disney Channel was used to be a place on TV that was all about the tweens. Shows like "Lizzie McGuire," "Even Stevens," and "That's So Raven" were very popular among younger fans.

But in recent years, Disney was becoming more as a teen network than a tween network and thanks to the successes of "High School Musical," "Hannah Montana," and "Camp Rock," I do think Disney had reinvented itself in the past couple of years.

So why did Disney have gone from a kids' network to a teen network in the first place?

  1. probably to get more fans of a different variety... cuz now both teens amd younger kids can enjoy the shows... not just kids anymore

  2. i agree with smiley. Because probably they were getting bad reveiews with the younger crowd so they thought if teens out grow disney channel they can also have the tweens who will watch it for a longer time. <3

  3. It is probably all about the money. Teens have more money of their own than kids to spend on sponsors products.
