Disney Walk Around Character Job?

Question

I am interested to be a walk around character for Disneyland, CA. With the mask on like goofy or something. What are the requirements? and I am now working at chuck E cheese as me get a job?Chuck E for party's and walking around most of the time. Would this help me get a job???

I had a friend who did Mickey at the Orlando WDW.  She said it was a lousy job.  Very hot, the inside of the suit stunk, and got paid minimum wage (or close to it).  She only lasted less than one season.  You might have better luck.  According to her, the main requirement was fitting into the costume (she was very short).  The characters are not allowed to speak and must stand for photos anytime a customer wants one.

If this appeals to you, go for it.

Most of what Jack D is true.

But, kids dig the characters.

You would make the little kids wicked happy.

I doubt their are any requirements as long as you don't like beat up the kids or something.

You will have to audition for the job. According to the website, there are Auditions for atmosphere characters Aug 8 at the Casting Center. Use the Audition calender to find out more. Explore the website to find out what exactly you need. I would bring a resume and a professionally taken photograph of you. I wou;ld expect to be there all day or at least all morning. It is also a big bonus if you are under 5'0" or over 6'0". Good Luck.

Well being Mr Chuck E Cheese you was inside alot.....But to me it wou.ld be a similar job...But being Mickey you will be outside all the time/.....I would say its possible but you never know until you apply for the job....Good Luck
