Disney World, hurricane question?

Im going to Orlando this Tuesday, and we will be going to many theme parks, do you know if they closed them because of the rain, and hurricane winds, or if they're opened. Will there be any problems

None of the parks closed due to the TROPICAL storm formerly known as Faye.

Disney has only closed a few times in it's history...

1st time - Hurricane Andrew (did not pass through orlando, but closed all the same for 1 day)

2nd time- 9/11

3rd time- Hurricane Charlie

4th time- Hurricane Francis

5th time- Hurricane Ivan

most people from orlando know of a rumor, it says disney closed only once in the history of opening (what reason that was, i couldnt tell you! lol). the rumor says its been open every single day since it opened except for once. if its true, i have no idea. but it goes to show it would take one massive hurricane to shut it down.

You'll be fine.  They don't close unless there's really a hurricane.  I remember in 2004 When Disney had abbreviated hrs and then closed 2 days for Frances, but that was an actual hurricane.  Fay was just a tropical storm.

If you get rain, the good news is that it clears out the parks.  You can either stick it out or leave then go back and enjoy practically no lines.  Sometimes it'll be raining in one park but not in another, too.  We had a downpour in the MK, but my gf and her family were in AK and had nothing but sunshine all day earlier this summer.

there was not a hurrican just a tropical storm the theme parks should be open.i am going there this year tell me all about it!hope you enjoy yourself

most of the rain is gone. there might be an occasional shower or two. Faye was never a hurricane, just a tropical storm (I live about 2.5 hours from there) I dont believe there will be any issues as to rides closing etc.
