Question:

Disney World Food and " Salad Bar"?

by  |  earlier

I just visited Disney the other day. I decided to eat at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. They have a topping bar with onions, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, ect. This is when i saw something unbelievable. People were acting like the topping bar was a salad bar. Instead of buying lunch, they feasted on shredded lettuce and onions and many other things. Am I wrong for thinking that these people are in the wrong?

  1. No you aren't! Those people are stealing. It's stupid for them to think that ketchup and musard go on a salad! If possible, you can report it to Disney World. Or, email them. You can say which park and which restaurant. They can then put a stop to 'free salads'. Good luck! ^-^

  2. Not only is it wrong, it is completely tacky & sad that someone would do that.

I wouldn't report it to Disney though. They know that people do that, & I am sure your experience happens everyday.

Personally, if people don't want to eat the food in the park for financial, nutritional or any other reason, then they should pack their own food & make it a picnic lunch. I used to think that was sorta tacky until hearing about your experience, now I guess the picnic isn't so bad.

  3. These people were in the wrong.  I could see if you have a baby with you and you give it a slice of tomato or crackers.  I'm guilty of giving my son a tomato while we wait for food at like Fudruckers, but he always get a grilled cheese or something else too.

  4. Gross! That's disgusting and low-class.  You are right to think that's wrong!

Disney allows you to bring in food, so people that poor should pack a lunch.  I've seen many families eating homemade sandwiches and snacks.

As far as anyone trying to use the unhealthy fast food excuse---the excuse is not valid. They have many healthy alternatives now, or they can choose to eat in a table-service restaurant.

  5. I am guilty of doing such thing because the foods served at amusement parks are just gawd-awful!!! I mean come on, funnel cake, corn dogs, cotton candy, etc... those things are just terrible for ones health so eating the lettuce & onions, etc is probably your best bet if you want to stick to a healthy life style... Granted I am sure there are salads around these days, but they are typically well over-priced and measly... If anything, just buy a drink at the restaurant so at least you do not look like you are stealing 100%
