Disney World or Universal Studios?

Question

I have never been to Universal Studios, but i LOVE Disney.

I will be in Orlando for a week and Universal has a better deal.

Which one is overall better?

I think Disney is better overall; however, every couple of trips I go to Universal also.  But you cannot spend a week at Universal.  A couple of days, maybe 3 days if you have never been before TOPS.  You might like to split your time between them instead.

Universal Studios is ok - most of the rides are getting old now and somewhat lame.  There are a couple of newer rides - The Mummy (ok, I didn't think it was anything special), Men in Black (good, like Buzz Lightyear at Magic Kingdom but better), and the very new Simpsons ride (haven't ridden yet).  Other than that, I like Jaws and ET, even though they are both corny.  That's about it.

Islands of Adventure, Universal's second park, is superior.  I like The Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, and the round rafts - forget what they are called, but has Popeye in the name.  Also the Dr. Seuss area is very cute to walk around, and Cat in the Hat is a fun ride.  

Having been several times, I can actually do both parks in one day.  I think it is worth trying Universal, but I think you will be bored if you plan the whole week there.

Definitely Disney. In 2006, I went to both and i HATED Universal. Almost all the rides were down, the lines were wayyy too long, and every ride we waited for, broke down at least once when we were waiting in line. Plus the people that go to Disney seem much better than some of the losers ive seen at Universal. Disney has MUCH better employees, cleaner, better experience, makes you feel better, and it is definitely worth the money. Overall, Disney is so much better and I'm sure you'll have a better time, because crowds will be heavier and it will be hotter. In Disney, its not that bad because you can be indoors most of the day. And not to mention the lines are entertaining.

if you like rides one word for ya:::: UNIVERSAL it has more rides, more rollercoasters, and it has islands of adventure, oh and buy the fastpass, because somedays its only like 15$ and its totally worth it, if you like roller coasters, the hulk is the way to go--0--
