Disney World tickets at the front desk of DW hotels... Same prices as at gate? Same options?

yes & it saves you from the line at the park.

I usually buy my tickets at the local Disney Store and then upgrade them to park hoppers at the hotel when I arrive.

yes. it can save you the line at the park but give yourself enough time because the hotel can sometimes have a line or you might need time to pick your options.

I believe the prices are the same everywhere it's a matter of convenience, you dont know how long the lines may be and of course you always pick the line with some bozo who wants to cause a problem.  

It's hard enough having to see mom's and dad's and gramma's and grampapa's deal with magnetic strip admission tickets and finger prints, lets not cause even more frustration b4 we even get into the park by waiting to buy tickets until we get there!
