  1. I am 14 and we go to Disney a lot.  My mom always gets a condo and it is great!  One time we stayed in a hotel and we felt all crammed together.  We always use the planning people.  The plans help us ride lots more rides.  I don't know why anyone would wait in line.  We always take our car because my parents say that plane tickets for all 5 of us would cost too much.

  2. To be honest, it would be no less than 5,000.

My family and I (5 ppl) went to disney about 2 months ago and we stayed at Port Orleans, Riverside which is one of their moderate resorts so it wasnt fancy and didnt have a kitchen but it was still really nice. Plus it wasnt like we were going to be in our rooms most of the time we were there so why would we spend money on a huge resort when we wouldnt be in the room ya know?

We stayed for about 5 nights and 6 days and it cost us alittle over 5,000 and we got park hopper passes!

Just think about it, you really dont need to stay in a fancy resort! Consider Port Orleans, riverside with connecting rooms! Thats what my family and I did (me whose 20, my brother whose 17, my other brother whose 15 and my parents)

  3. 5 days tickets-$200

    hotel-mini $100

driving or flying-driving cheaper but longer,a lil more but get there a lot faster

  4. We went to Disney March 2008 (2 adults & 1 5yr) and stayed at Pop Century which was one of the lower priced hotels in Walt Disney World.   We liked that it had a food court and great shuttle transportation to all the Disney theme parks (we didn't have a car) and parking is expensive $10-20 day each theme park.  I did look on expedia & orbitz and there are condos you can rent that would include a kitchen which would help alot because food is expensive down there.  I also bought our tickets online before we went and saved about $200.  Overall the cost for our family, 5 days hotel & airfare + 4 theme parks + food was $3,000.  Hope that helps. Have a great time.

  5. Well if you research and go on a value week rooms are much cheaper or watch the disney site for specials. Also if you want stay in a value they are the cheapest

  6. We are also a family of five and we love to go to Disney.  We are also not rich, so I totally understand where you are coming from.  This is my advice:

    1.  Stay off property in a condo.  You will get a much cheaper price and you will have a full kitchen.  This will save you money on eating out.  Also, the Disney resorts just aren't designed for families of five, unless you spend a lot of money.  We have stayed in Mickey's Condo, and it was great!

    2.  Drive, don't fly.  Driving will save you money (airfare is so expensive these days) and you will not need to rent a car.  You will need to pay for parking at Disney, but it is still cheaper in the long run.

    3.  Use an itinerary and touring plans service.  We used Custom Mouse Plans and they were great.  This will cost you a little bit of money but it was well worth it.  They actually saved us money on our park tickets by creating an itinerary that allowed us to get cheaper tickets than we planned on getting.  Also, we never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride, so we got so much more for our money than people who spent the whole day in long lines.

I would recommend emailing Custom Mouse Plans.  They were the people who helped us find the condo and so much more!

  7. with 3 of us it was 3, 000 when I went in january, so it would be around 5, 000

  8. Since there are 5 people I would think it would be cheaper for your family to drive.  From Indianapolis I've found tickets to Orlando for about $200 but for five people that could add up.

Say you go for 5 days (which should be the minimum so you could see all the parks + Downtown Disney).

Tickets for 5 people (without park hopper) = $1110

Hotel room with kitchen in a moderate resort (for example, say you want to stay in one of their cabins, about $260 a night)  = $1463

Not including food and souvenirs = $2573

    + Gas = about $400 including to and from Florida = $2973

I would say the bare minimum spent on food for 5 people everyday for five days would be $2000

    (=4975)

    plus souvenirs? about $1000- ish

    grand total = $5975
