  1. It really depends on your age, and how you want to spend your vacation

For little kids: The CONTEMPORARY is a great spot, closest to the best park for the littler ones, in Magic kingdom. Has a character buffet that kids like, and an awesome arcade

Teens: the BOARDWALK hotel is amazing, my favorite. Its actually connected to a bunch of hotels, all located on a boardwalk. Like a New Jersey boardwalk feel, and there are fair games at night, and its all lit up. There are clubs, restaurants, an ESPN zone,  there and it has a bunch of awesome pools. Along with the BEACH CLUB RESORT, and YACHT CLUB RESORT, all located on the boardwalk. And you can take a ferry to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios

Adults: the GRAND FLORIDIAN is simply one of the nicest hotels in the world, and has been rated accordingly for the past decade. Unbelievable hotel, and reaaly cool.

These are all higher end hotels, but choose whats in your price range. They do have payment plans, and packages offered. Check out the link, have fun

  2. If you book your package directly with Disney, yes, Disney does offer payment plans.  It's been a while, so I am not sure about what they offer.

All of the Disney hotels are good, it just depends on what you are looking for and who you are traveling with!  Price range is very important, too.  There are the value resorts which are ok, but if you could afford it, I would stay up a "level" to at least the modererate resorts.

On Disney's website you can build your own vacation and get a quote for the time of year you are going.  You can also check out http://www.allearsnet.com for reviews and pictures on all the hotels.
