Disney world tickets?

Do you have to have an actual park ticket to get into night of joy or can you get in with just a night of joy ticket?

For most Disney hard ticket events, you can use your event ticket to enter that park at 4:00pm.  So, even if the event doesn't start until 7pm, you can get in with only your event ticket at 4pm.

I know this works for the Halloween party, Christmas party and Pirate and Princess party.

well they close the park when the show starts and only those who purchased the event ticket can come in.

the event ticket is specifically for the event it doesn't get you in the park until the event starts.

so yes you would need to purchase a park ticket if you wanted to go for the entire day.

the event ticket doesn't get you in for the whole day just for the event.

It is a separate event in the night time. They empty out the park then let in guests with night of joy tickets. Some of the rides are open during the event
