Is it true that as you go into Disneyland Paris, there is a wall of photos of all the children who have been abducted from there?

  1. oh my god, that can't be true... i never saw it anyway.

  2. i went to disneyland paris, and i didnt see any wall. its probably just a myth to scare you. i wouldnt worry about it. if you are still very worried though, ring them up. :) x

  3. No child has ever been abducted in Disneyland Paris. Never happened. Someone is probably trying to come up with a new urban legend.

EDIT: as someone else said, child abduction is a US issue, it is extremely rare in France. I have done a little research and found the following figures:

    - 700 children are reported missing in France every year (excluding runaways: 36,000), most of them are found in the next few hours or days. International abductions by a foreign parent are estimated 1,500. One child a year on average is not found.

    - 800,000 children  are reported missing in the US each year. That's over 1,100 times more than in France (actually 21 times more using same statistical methods) for a child population only 5 times bigger. 115 of them are kidnapped by a stranger (56% of which are returned alive, 40% are killed and 4% not recovered). Others are abducted by a parent or relative, are runaways or get lost.

Having a French language TV channel here and having lived in France I can tell you that when a child goes missing and is not found immediately in France it makes national headlines and they talk about that child every day. People still know their names: Marion, Estelle Mouzin... So the idea of a wall of photos of children abducted at Disneyland is just plain grotesque (by the way, I like Brutal's answer above).

  4. yeh right like people pay the entrance purely to take kiddies who are high on sweets and pop.

and wow - what a advert for disneyland, showing how you too could have your kiddies snatched! come in! its fun!

  5. oh my god Ive been there 4 times and never heard of this is it true????

  6. I Went There Ages Ago I Didnt See The Wall i Rather Go To Amercia Disneyland But If Ur Worry Dont go!

  7. Being an ex coach driver I've lost count of the number of tours I've done to Disney. I've never yet seen any wall covered in photo's of missing children. Somebody is trying to scare you off.

Mind you on some of the trips I must admit there were some 'brats' I'd have been happy to see snatched!!

  8. I have been there and I have seen no such wall.  Euro-Disney is a good place.  It has all of the top rides from all of the Disney parks in the United States and Japan all rolled into one park.  It is definitely worth the visit.

I would be more worried about abductions in the US.  Kidnappings are far higher in the US (mainly due to custody issues) than in any where else in the World.
