Disneyland crowds?

thinking about making a trip to disneyland/california adventures sometime in aug. We would either go for 1 day or maybe even 2 days to visit the parks. It would be August 12th, or 13th or both or maybe even August 19th and 20th...both on tuesday and wed. how packed do you think the park would be on these days? i heard the park is less busy this summer because of gas prices.

I know if I go the eariler week, that week is blacked out for passholders but u have to think about tourist...if you go the later week, then the tourist will prolly end up going home early to get ready for school, however, the passholders can now visit the park.

any help or opionons are greatly appeciated! thanks!

  1. There are much better parks in that area like Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knots Berry Farm.

  2. gas prices definitely affect crowds, and the fact alone that you are going on a weekday as opposed to over the weekend is a big plus too. it shouldn't be ridiculously crowded on those days, but of course, it Is Disneyland :) and don't forget to take advantage of the fast-passes for the popular rides so you can make the most out of your day

  3. Weekdays are always less crowded because most people have work. If I were you i would check the weather for each day and make a comparison as to if you are the kind or person that likes hotter or slightly cooler weather.

  4. well the parks are usually nice on weekdays only on weekends it gets really full so you'll be ok on those dates dont worry!!

  5. try to get the park early in the morning before they open the gate then you will get a chance to see what you would like to see before the crowds started coming.

    hope this helps

  6. Tuesday and Thursday are the least busiest days during the week at Disneyland (why not Wednesday as well, I have noooo idea). The crowds this summer have definitely been smaller due the rate of inflation and the price of gas (July Fourth was almost embarrassingly slow).

In California, most schools are back in session starting on the 25th, so there may be a small rise in attendance the week before, but still quite nice and low-key.

If you plan to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels, you will have early entrance to the parks as well (1-hour before regular opening of parks).

Staying at any of the nearby hotels (Disney or not) is a good idea. Crowds usually pick-up after lunch time, during the warmest part of the day. That's when I will head back to hotel for a quick nap or a dip in the pool to relax. Then in the evening the air is cooler and the crowds a little lighter.

Also, make use of the fastpass system. Get your fastpass for the popular rides early because those queues sometimes run out later in the day.

  7. well i dont kow how to help but if you go after thanksgiving and before christmas its dead littery..no one never comes and by birthday is on august 19
