We will be in Disneyworld for a week beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving. What are the lines like and how crowded is the park? What are the estimated wait times for the most popular and for some of the less attractive rides at this time of year?

  1. I would have to recommend Custom Mouse Plans for your trip.  I would not rely to heavily on crowd calendars.  I was at Disney last October during one of the weeks that was labeled low crowds on all the sites, and it was much more crowded than I had ever seen during that time of year!  I saw waits for some of the popular rides over 2 hours, and this was during the 'slow' time!  Luckily, I had my Custom Mouse Plans, so I never waited in any of those lines.  I don't think I waited more than 10 minutes for any of the rides.

  2. The crowds will be very rough on Friday and Saturday, but great after that.  See this page for forecasting crowd levels at Walt Disney World: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-...  There's also a sample Walt Disney World itinerary on that site for your exact dates--see it from the links on this page: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-...

I can't give you a wait estimate that's a would have full confidence in,  but you can get one from the crowd calendar at http://touringplans.com

Hope this helps and have a great trip!! Dave

  3. It will be very crowded the first few days, but you will see the crowds lighten up as the week moves along.  Please remember that there are no 'slow' times at Disney anymore.  It is the number one vacation destination in the world and they have reported record attendance for the last couple of years.  Also, because the dollar is weak, there are more people visiting from overseas.  The result is that the parks are more crowded even during the traditional 'slow' times.

Don't be surprised if some of the more popular rides have wait times of 90+ minutes.  The less popular attractions will have shorter waits.

I highly recommend visiting my website and letting Custom Mouse Plans do you itinerary and park touring plans.  On average, we save our clients 4-6 hours a day of waiting in lines.  Even during your busiest days, you will not have to wait more than 10-15 minutes for any of the rides using our plans.  We would love to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
