  1. One Charge.

  2. Disorderly Conduct in Texas for example carries several sub-charges:

    Fighting in Public Place

    Loud Noise (Music usually)

    Obnoxious Odor <--- no kidding

    Profanity in Public Place

    Obscene Hand Gesture Public Place

Any other action that would encite a breech of the peace.

So in your case, your challege to a fight is more than likely a sub-charge describing what type of disorderly conduct.  ONE CHARGE.

  3. In CA, several charges can be listed on a ticket.

But the charge you are mentioning is generally a single count charge.  The words are all included in the same penal code section.

BUT... when you show up to your court date, the prosecutor can always decide to change the charge and/or add or delete charges.  They have full discretion on case filing.  It does not matter what the cop wrote on the ticket.

  4. If you got 1 ticket, there's only 1 charge.

Disorderly Conduct is the legal description of the charge but "challenge to a fight" is the reason you were charged.

  5. Challenge to a fight is what the disordely conduct was !
