The two strongmen of Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly had a few differences in recent weeks which could result in Leonardo leaving the club this summer as reported in newspapers
Relations between president of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo are no more as cordial as they used to be. The two men are committed to making Paris Saint-Germain a true European powerhouse with the numerous resources
they have.
“Paris deserves a big club that can play every year in the Champions League and win titles. Our dreams have no limits. We want to make PSG one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
Those were the statements of Nasser Al-Khelaifi last year. The Qataris want to make PSG the biggest club in European football.
An overwhelming desire but which Leonardo has only tasted the results of the massive spending sprees of the last two transfer windows very moderately.
According to RMC, the former AC Milan manager is getting a little pressure from his superior who wants quick results.
RMC claims that the two men had a small argument about three weeks back. The Qatari has particularly criticised the poor quality of play displayed by PSG and also took a dim view of the result of spending so much cash on new players live on media.
“We will certainly spend, but I would like to know which players we are signing,” dropped the president which clearly means that Al-Khelaifi has been kept in the dark when it comes to transfer dealings.
In reply to his president’s statements, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 said, “For the quality of play, we have to go and see Carlo Ancelotti. For the rest, I work and I would continue to do so without excessive pressure.”
Obviously, both men’s statements will certainly have a big affect on their relation with eachother. However, Leonardo needs to realise that he has to discuss transfers with his president so that Khelaifi has an idea about all the comings and goings at the
club.
Leonardo has been linked with a return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in recent weeks and his disagreement with the PSG president is likely to add more fuel to the fire.
