How long does it usually take to dispute a withdrawl from your account? A day, a week? What is the process of disputing a withdrawl?

  1. Depends on the bank.  They should give you that info when you fill out the dispute form.


  2. They will freeze your account instantly if someone has access who does not.   You will need your police report for the bank, but if someone stole your money and you were not at fault then you should recover it right away.

    I lost my ATM card a couple of years ago and it took them a few days to verify that it was not me in the security cameras of Walmart using my card and they returned all funds as well as the fines I received for the overdraft.
