  1. He drives 27 miles in 45 minutes.

    27/45 = x/60

    27 * 60 = 45x

    1620 = 45x

    36 = x

    Jack's average rate of speed is 36 miles per hour.

  2. 36mph

  3. 36 miles an hour

  4. speed = distance / time

    therefore speed = 27 mi / 0.75 hours

    speed = 36 mph

    this is a math problem - not geography

    AM

  5. Average Speed = Distance Covered/Total time elapse

    Average Speed = 27 mi/45min

    Average Speed = 0.6 mi/min or

    (0.6 mi/min)(60 min/hr) = 36 mi/hr   answer

    Hope this helps.
