Distance between attaturk airport and sultanahmet area, istanbul?

Ned to know if it works out cheaper staying at an airport hotel on pur last night or staying in sultan ahmet and getting a bus to the airport instead

When I was in Istanbul, my hotel was situated in Sultan Ahmet area and we went to the airport by bus. It was 5 years ago, so I don't remember exactly, but it didn't take us too long (not more than an hour) to get there. But if you're in a hurry, I don't recommend that.

Do not think of the bus. The easiest way is by the metro train it takes about 20 minutes and the tourist office in Sultanahmet will fix you up with B/B for around £12 these people usually operate a minibus service from several B/Bs to the airport but

they are often very early in the morning

you can use metro-tram... it takes nearly 1 hour

Ask for the Havaş shuttles from the airport to city centers. I think they are about 15 YTL.
