  1. distance between points (a, b) and (c, d) is given by √[(c -- a)^2 + (d -- b)^2]

    distance between points (--1, 6) and (4, 5) is √[(4 + 1)^2 + (5 -- 6)^2] =  Ã¢ÂˆÂš[26] = 5.099

  2. sqrt[(y2-y1)^2 + (x2-x1)^2]  it's pythagereon theorm

  3. d= square root of (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2

    d= square root of (4+1)^2 + (5-6)^2

    You should be able to solve easily from there.

  4. here is the formula

    d=squared root of (x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2

    Answer is squared root of 26

    just substitute x and y and then solve

  5. d = (squareroot of (x^2 - x^1)² + (y^2 - x^2)²)

    d = (sqroot of (6 - -1)² + (5 - 4)²)

    d = (sqroot of 7² + 1²)

    d= (sqroot of 49 + 1)

    d = sqroot of 50

    d = 7.07...
