Varkala beach is in Kerala and its 42 KMs distance from Thiruvanathapuram and Thiruvananthapuram is 605 KMs from Pondicherry. So totally around 650 KMs from Pondicherry.

From Pondicherry the shortest route is Pondicherry --> Villupuram --> Tiruchy --> Madurai --> Tirunelveli --> Nagercoil.

Hi

Easy & comfortable access to Varkala (cheper option) is to take a train from Villupuram to Trivandrum, and from Trivandrum take a taxi , its 45minutes drive by road to Varkala.
