Distances in the Amazon Basin?

I have been trying to find out the distance between certain points in the Amazon. I am trying to find out the distance between Altamira, Brazil and Santa Cruz, Brazil (on the Uruara River) via land. I have a map but it's distance key is not clear.

goto this link you can get really close and from there you can pinpoint distances... you have to download the software, but its free
