  1. genotype-genetic makeup

    phenotype-physical characteristics

  2. Phenotype: This is the "outward, physical manifestation" of the organism.

Genotype: This is the "internally coded, inheritable information" carried by all living organisms. This stored information is used as a "blueprint" or set of instructions for building and maintaining a living creature.

  3. genotype - gene make up

    phenotype - outside apperance

for example, a pea plant's genotype is:

    Tt hybrid

    phenotype:

    Tall

  4. Ok, I just learned this in science so I know what I am talking about (lol). A phenotype is the looks of something. think: PHotograph and PHenotype. genotype is the genes. ex: if you cross breed Bb(hybrid brown eyes) to bb (purebred blue eyes) the offspring could be: Bb, bb, bb, and bb. the genotype would be:  1:3 Brown:blue  and the phenotype would be:  one brown eyed child and 3 blue eyed children

  5. genotype of a genetic trait would be the letters like Tt TT or tt

and the phenotype is the physical appearance of the trait, like tall or short

  6. Phenotype is a trait passed on physically ie Brown eyes, blonde hair.

Genotype is like passing on diabetes or color blindness.
