The ribosome is a complex of protein and RNA that is the little "machine" that makes protein in the cell.  Ribosomes are found in the cytoplasm but also in organelles like chloroplasts and mitochondria.  Ribosomes are found ubiquitously in living organisms from bacteria on up to the most complex types.  Apparently, the structure is quite similar across these taxonomic boundaries.

    Ribosomal RNA is a particular type of RNA that is a structural component of the ribosome.  Apparently, it is not involved in transmission of genetic information to succeeding generations like DNA does.  rRNA is for some reason necessary for the function of the ribosome in making protein.
