What are the distinguishing differences between mechanistic and organic organizations?

  1. Organic would indicate that the organization had all the components necessary to stay in operation.   I have never heard of the word "mechanistic" and don't even know if it is an English word.  I will guess and say that Mechanistic organizations are controlled by an external entity and not completely self-contained. /
