Distorted graphics. Last year I purchased a 7600 gt agp nvdia graphics card. My mother board only

Last year I purchased a 7600 gt agp nvdia graphics card. My mother board only has support for agp 4x and the card is agp 8x. I was told that should not be a problem is it?

Anyway there are certain games that the graphics gets distorted.
