Disturbing scene in film or tv?...?

what the most disturbing scene you have ever seen in tv or film

for tv for me it was the x files where babies were born with tails!...still haunts me...remember watching it when i was little and being scared as!

for film its in let him have it where christopher Eccleston's character gets hanged and its so quick thats its really shocking

whats everybody elses?

It was in this film I watched as a child called 'The Wolves of willoughby chase',  someone got squashed in a giant clothes mangle.

ETA I think someone else got their arm ripped off in the mangle too

In "Descent" with Rosario Dawson, there is a lengthy and rather graphic rape scene where one man rapes another guy.  Even watching it at double speed on my dvd player made me very uncomfortable.

At the time, these two classic scenes had everybody talking.

Alien (1979) When the alien hatchling burst out of John Hurt's stomach.  The cast was not told what was going to happen so when it happened those reactions you see are genuine.

Scanners (1981)  The exploding head scene.  The F/X guys filled a latex head with dog food and rabbit livers and blew it apart with a 12 gauge shotgun from behind...gotta love it.

I would have to agree withCaptainn Howdy. When I was 6, I woke in the middle of the night to see Linda Blairs head do a complete 360 and spit up what looks like pea soup. I cannot watch the Exorcist to this day, not even a preview.

The BBC made a six part series of John Wyndham's book, The Day of the Triffids in the eighties and there's a scene where the hero and heroine crash and their car is surrounded by blind people determined to get their hands on them to use them as seeing eye 'dogs', even though I'd read the book and I know how the scene progresses it was still a nerve wracking scene to watch as they tried to get out of the car and get away without being caught.  It's definitely one of the best and most disturbing scenes I've ever seen, I think the whole series and everyones reactions to the crisis are quite unnerving.  

We also found watched the film The Happening recently and found it quite unnerving.

Can't really think of one for TV but for films:

Probably in Pulp Fiction when Bruce Willis and that other guy are tied up in the basement and the shop owner calls in that kinky police officer and wakes up the other guy in that leather suit.  Disturbing.

Or in The Descent when the one friend stabs the other friend through the throat.  That whole movie is psychologically disturbing - good - but disturbing.

There are a few scenes in Cannibal Holcaust that are really disturbing.

The rape scenes and the parts with the animals.

What makes it even more disturbing is the fact that they used real animals in the movie.

Alien from the sci-fi channel..When the babie came out the somache and was real creepy and ugly looking..scared the living outta of me.

the orpahnage-"When the kid had AIDS and did not know it and how the mother..KILLED her own kid and after life they loved each other like nothing..creepy as h**l.

Children of the grave-How children died from the 1800's and on and the mothers throwing there kids over a bridge and the haunting images of kids playing after life..

I'd have  to say the movie "Inside."  At the end of the movie the baby was cut out of the stomach.

Another disturbing movie was "The girl next door" the second half of the entire movie was VERY disturbing.
