DivX problem?

i just downloaded a film which is in an avi format so should be compatible with DivX player but when i try to play it an error message shows up saying :"this file does not appear to contain a video track" what does this mean and what can i do to solve the problem? thanks x

  1. What media player do you use? Try VLC  video lan player for PC.

    Or do you mean a DivX DVD Player? in which case check the file again for it's size should be 700 MB if its an Xvid or DVD rip this may have become corrupted during download - it happens sometimes!



    I have a DivX DVD player with USB host support which means I can download straight to a memory stick and then plug the stick into the DVD player and watch on TV, ace!

  2. Check the formats of player it support avi format,if support,you can play it,if not you can't.

    Use VLC,KM player they support most of the formats.
