Thank you! I'm freshly certified, and I can't wait to start diving! Tomorrow I get to log my first "real" dive!

All your answers were good, so I'm going to open it to a vote.

Thanks again!!

  1. It's worth the money. The insurance provided will cover your medical needs in case of a dive related injury. I don't think many health insurance plans cover air evacuation, chamber and chamber medic. You also get the yearly accident reports, which although sad to see people killed, is a worthwhile thing in itself as it provides an insight to what actually kills divers and may lead you to change diving practices and become a safer diver. You also get a % off certain courses.

  2. Definitely,yes.!

I'm diving instructor and DAN member.I think that,at today, you can't have something better than DAN.

As "divebob" says, you are covered in everything as a diver and more, you can cover your family too while traveling.

My daughter had problems while traveling with me  in another country and they gave me full assistance and the refound of the expences I had. They staied in contact with me,the hospital and the doctor in charge for her, daily, and ready to give the best assistance it was possible to give.

    Really effective.

I'm italian, sorry for my bad english..

  3. Yes.  It's worth it for the insurance alone.  But you also get a very nice dive medicine related magazine.   You also have access to experts who can answer important questions.

I have been a member for a couple years and I really have good feelings for this organization.  Very refreshing and I'm glad to give them my support.

  4. Definatly, since one incident while diving would make 100 years of dues well worth it. They also have coverage for injuries that are not diving related. So as a Dive Master I can definatly say yes it is worth it, and that every SCUBA Diver should invest in it.
