Should a society focus on what makes everyone different or what they have in common? My belief is diversity promotes an underlying serparation that prevents a society from ever truly uniting. Why don't we then celebrate the differences we all possess and bring then together for the common good instead of creating seperation by always stressing what makes us different. There are many spokes to a wagon wheel, yet they all belong to the same wheel and each does its part to make the wheel whole and strong. If too much emphasis was put on any particular spoke the whole wheel would collapse. Do you think we can ever get to the point where we proclaim what we all have in common instead of what keeps us separate?
