Diverticulitis any one had this?

wanting to know all symptoms, down to the fine details please.

Please no Wiki answers ive already looked it up .

Wanting personal criteria of this only.

Yes, I had this a few months ago.

Just FYI:  I have known diverticular disease with one known pouch (which had not caused me any problems in 20 years). I actually had totally forgotten about it until this incidence.

I also have a very severe case of fibromyalgia and this particular week was having to take some narcotic pain meds which were constipating me.  

I started feeling abdominal bloating Friday night.  More bloated on Saturday which got worse and worse.  By Sunday, I'm feeling miserable from the bloating.  

Also, Sunday morning, my lower left quadrant is feeling tender.  I think that I have an ovarian cyst acting up.  As the day goes on, it gets more and more tender.  By late afternoon, it is so tender that it hurts just to pull my panties down to go to the bathroom (the elastic rolling over the area is excruciating).  This is when I start to suspect that the tenderness is NOT an ovarian cyst.

By Monday morning, I can no longer stand the pain.  I go to the hospital.  An MRI confirms the diagnosis.  

It's my personal opinion that the constipation caused a backup in the diverticular pouch which in turn caused my diverticulitis!  

It was probably the most intense pain I've ever experienced...moreso than childbirth.
