Divine Call looking to cause an upset in Divine Call
Divine Call will be looking to cause an upset in the Geolight Handicap at Bath in England on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He is carrying the winning momentum at the moment and will be looking to take advantage of that today.
Although, there are some decent runners lined up for action in the 5 furlong 161 yard event, yet no one seems to be in a dominant position right now. This will make the competition quite interesting, but the punters will definitely not like this situation.
The going has been described as good at Bath, which is a good sign for most of the participants, who struggle under different conditions.
Veteran jockey, Richard Kingscote will be riding Irish runner, Sole Danser, who has been given pretty decent odds by the bookies. The pair has got a very good chance of fighting for the top three positions, as they have done well together in the past.
Sole Danser has won only one race in his career and that came under Kingscote, which means that they have a good chance of repeating such a show once again. The bookies also expect veteran gelding Mount Hollow to be competitive today, but he has never succeeded
at this venue before.
On the other hand, Divine Call cannot be taken lightly at all and he is an ideal choice for the bettors today. He will enter the event with a starting price of 7 to 1 and a good start will definitely see him finish ahead of his opponents.
The five-year-old gelding has been in the sport since 2010 and has made his team proud on many occasions. He has managed to succeed in four events, which is not a bad record at all, but he will be looking to add more victories to that tally.
In addition to that, he has finished as a runner up once whereas secured the third place on the same number of times. Out of his 17 races, he has appeared at Bath on a couple of occasions.
The Milton Bradley’s trainee was unable to make a strong impression in his first race at this venue, but did a great job in the second one, finishing first in it. This victory came in his most recent outing under Shane Kelly, who will be partnering him at
Bath once again today.
