Divine Intavention hot favourite for Ladbrokesbingo.com Open Hunters´ Chase
Divine Intavention is expected to dominate proceedings in the Ladbrokesbingo.com Open Hunters´ Chase (for the United Hunts Cup) at Folkestone in England on Thursday, May 17, 2012. A cash prize of £1,153 has been set for the winner of the class-6 race.
The going will be good in the 2 mile 5 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 20:25 GMT, and a total of seven runners will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: Divine Intavention, Mount Sandel, Master T, Lepido, Polyfast, Prey Bird and Balableu.
Although Divine Intavention does not have an impressive strike rate, his recent form has been pretty good. This has helped him get the best odds for today’s race and the punters will also be looking forward to risk a lot of money on him.
The eight-year-old gelding has taken part in eight chase races until now, winning three of them. Moreover, he has also finished runner up and third on one time each, which shows that he is a fierce competitor.
Importantly, the H. Wilson’s trainee has been in spectacular form over the past few events, which means he is carrying excellent momentum at the moment. He finished runner up in his most recent outing and had won three back to back events prior to that.
These performances from Divine Intavention indicate that he will completely dominate proceedings in the Ladbrokesbingo.com Open Hunters´ Chase. He will be ridden by Mr M. Wall, who has won 12 chase races in his career until now. However, his strike rate
is not impressive at all, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
Other than the race favourite, Mount Sandel might also manage to attract some bets in his favour, as he is also capable of winning the race at Folkestone. He has participated in nine chase events so far, winning a couple of them. Moreover, he has also secured
the runner up spot on three occasions, which shows that he is fully capable of fighting for victories.
The 11-year-old gelding finished runner up in his most recent outing, which shows that he is carrying terrific momentum at the moment. He will be partnered by young jockey, Mr W. Hickman.
