Diving .ive been watching the olympics and wanted to know if any one has ever been hurt doing this ?

Yes, people do get hurt, especially on the inward dives.  But overall diving is a pretty safe sport compared to, say, football or soccer.  I've watched many years of high school, college and club diving and haven't seen any really serious accidents.  Have seen several concussions from going over or going short and a couple of heads or feet or hands hitting the board.  It's scarier for the moms watching than for the divers, it seems.

The Olympic commentators did a brief bit about the Canadian woman diver who hit her face when she was 14 years old, required several surgeries but persevered.  And, of course, there was the incident with Greg Louganis at the Olympics many years ago, which others here have mentioned.
