i live in el paso tx and my husband lives in ft worth tx. i go to school work and take care our 1 yr old daughter. i cant afford to take off to see a lawyer for divorce and told my soon to be ex husband that but yet he still keeps telling me to do it. 1st he said he couldnt afford it. now that i said i cant because im too busy he says h**l pay half. it feels like he got me going in circles. and he keeps asking me to do it when i already told him i cant. his reason why he cant..because divorce lawyers are cheaper in el paso. so he wants me to go get prices n visit lawyers and just give him the number to call teh lawyer so h**l pay. its like a lose/ lose situation with him. also is it wise to get divorce when i have a pending child support case. date in novemeber. i dont wanna mess that up and prefer to wait. y doies he have me going in circles and any advice 4 me.

  1. Stop running in circles for him, and do it for YOU.

You need to have an attorney, so take a breather from work or school (or yahoo answers!) and find yourself an attorney. Don't find one for him - find one for you. He's responsible for finding his own attorney.

Next time he calls, tell him to get his own lawyer. Then you need to go ahead and find your own attorney and file for divorce. Stop letting him control you, and take control yourself.

  2. well do you really need lawyers it seem you both just want out sooo if thats the case and they is really nothing to divide or fight over then you can just go to court fill out simple paper work and be dont with it. they do have fee waivers that can help but if there are assets between you guys that need to be handled and no one has the money for it then i guess your stuck unless you can find a lawyer who is pro bono
