Divorcing Illegal Immigrant with business/home?

Question

Long story short. I married a illegal immigrant less than 2 years ago (18 months) I moved out in April 1, 2008. Filed for Divorce June 2008. He went crazy when he found out i filed for divorce and would not help him obtain his paperwork. (We started paperwork the beginning of the year before i moved out) I canceled all paperwork in May 2008. Upon filing for divorce he became threatening, calling daily, etc. We own a business together and he owns a home prior to our marriage. (we are from WA state) He hired a lawyer and made some false claims (restraining order, embezzelment) I hired a lawyer to and am starting to fight this. But thought i would post a few questions out there in hopes that SOMEONE may know or have been through a issues somewhat like mine. First off...

1)i heard that if he was able to obtain a restraining order on me it is for his green card benefit. (this will not happen for there was no abuse, and i have phone records of him calling me all up until July 2008 and we have had NO contact since then, just his way of crying wolf to get help)

2) Come to find out upon me moving out (this is one reason why i moved out) He came to the US 7 almost 8 years ago on a 2 year student visa. He fled NY and came to WA. Worked numerous jobs and then we opened a business in construction together...BUT.... HE CAN NOT WORK IN US! i snooped and found his SS card and it says he can not work...SO now i own a business with someone who can not even work! we are 50/50 owner...any ideas?

3) As far as his home, HOW THE heck did he buy this house? And with me marrying him will i be responsible for this debt???

This marriage has thrown me for a loop and i must say as ive read numerous times....after we married he changed, became distant, pushy for us to hire a immigration lawyer and seemed that he was just with me for this....upon seperation he showed his true colors with his threats and verbal yelling over me ruining his life beacuse he did not obtain this card....that he would "flee" to his country and leave me in debt.

so i guess my next ??? is:

4) Will he get deported? since he is illegal after the divorce?

I really hope everyone gives me my advice. Please dont slam me for marrying someone illegal...lesson learned, trust me ... but i dated and lived with him for 1 year prior to us marrying and he seemed perfect. It was after marriage he changed adn then the true colors showed.

Call INS they will be happy to help him move back home.

he is pretty much a hardworking guy here..bought a house and build a new business..

he might get the green card especially if you have a child with him..that child will definitely help him to become a permanent residence..

but if he will deported then you will own the house and business..hhhmmmm????

he can still get his green card without you. even thru a divorce.  unless there can be something proved like entering illegally, or some other major fraud.  seems he entered 'legally' and has been prosperous and hardworking.  has he been paying taxes honestly?

anyone can get a restraining order.  even illegals or legal immigrants

or those in the process of immigrating.  he lives here, doesnt he?

he has civil rights regardless.  there are ways.

if you are not named on the mortgage ...it wont affect your credit and you may not be required to continue on the debt.  if you are named on the home ...you will be required to sign a quit clam deed.

assests and debts will be tallied.  incomes, etc everything will be divided equally.  although the home situation may be in his favor if there is any equity.

seems he's a pretty good hardworking successful man.  cause to wonder who is using who here?
