isn't that strange ? are the dates correct ? can people please confirm with me ?

Karwa Chauth 2008 is on October 18, 2008

It comes before Diwali. I hope this helps.

Chauth itself means 4th day of the Moon.

Diwali*  is on Amavasya. So Karwa Chauth cannot be on the day you think. The next day of Diwali is ! and then 2 = Dooj and so on. It is Bhai dooj.



It will be on 4th day of waning Moon.
