I recently came back from a trip to Washington D.C for 4 days. I was using the metro to get everywhere around the city. On the third day after I got off the metro I was feeling very dizzy and went back to the hotel to sleep. Thinking it was lack of water and lack of rest. The next day I felt the exact same. Its been three days after my trip to D.C and Im still dizzy....whether Im standing up, sitting down or laying. I've been drinking lots of water thinkin maybe I was dehydrated since all I drank was Redbull on the trip. Have had at least 6 hours of sleep now but still when I get up Im dizzy. Does anybody out there know why this is happening...maybe have a similar story..and a relief..to make the dizziness stop?

  1. I had the same thing going opn with me and I think mine was determind as stress..just keep drinking water and if it keeps up go see your doc.

  2. I emailed you yesterday about the possibility of the fluid in your middle ear being off.  Antivert 25mg works to correct that, thus fixing the dizziness.  The only problem is its prescribed and you would have to see a doctor.  Good luck.

  3. i don't think it was the metro bcuz its been a few dyas, i think u need to see a doctor. Have u been eating normally and getting all the required nutrients like iron ? Plz see a doc being dizzy for this long is not good at all and u should possibly get a blood test.

When i feel dizzy its bcuz i'm exhausted and tehn i start to feel sick and i get a headache  i usually lay down very still on my back and close my eyes but i have my hands on my head and i breathe and theh i go eat something like oatmeal and fruit... just a healthy meal or if its really bad i just go to slp bcuz thats usually why it would happen, to me anyway.

Also maybe ur blood pressure is out of whack bcuz of the little amount of sleep and your body needs at leats 8-9 hours of rest, 6 hours isn't enough. Get more rest and see a doc.

It was a good idea for you to drink more water bcuz lack of water could cause dizziness but now u know its not that.

  4. It could be vertigo...or perhaps an ear infection. You can try over the counter dramamine to help the dizziness, but it will probably make you drowsy. Just to be sure it's nothing serious or neurological, you should get checked out by your doctor.
