OK, so Im going to buy a pair of JBL jrx125 speakers that recommend 500-1000 RMS 4 ohms. So, if I purchase an amp that specified it outputs 460 rms at 4 ohms will I have any problems there? Like concerns with the amp?

Or should I just purchase an amp that ranges in between 500-1000 rms at 4 ohms.

Also what kind of amp would you recommend? I know Crown is a good brand. but one of the more expensive ones. What do you think of Technical Pro? Or even Pyle(is this amp even worth my cash)?

  1. Audio pros always get an amp that is AT LEAST the program power rating of the speakers.  It is always better to get more power than less.  The reason for this is that a lower powered amp will go into distortion sooner for a given volume level.  DISTORTION IS WHAT BLOWS SPEAKERS, not too much power.

Crown is a great company, so is QSC.

If you want a great amp for low price,  Behringer EP2500 would be perfect for those speakers (650 w per channel into 4 ohms):

"Technical Pro" sounds like an "off" brand, you would be better off with the Behringer.  Pyle is probably OK.
