The former Lecce star happy to move to San Siro, and ready to play in any position for the Italian Champions
Midfielder, Djamel Mesbah, has expressed his delight after completing his move to San Siro from Lecce.
Mesbah signed a four-year contract with the Rossoneri after undergoing medical and agreeing personal terms recently. The Algerian international has immediately reported to the club’s training camp, and will be available for their next league game against Novara on Sunday.
The left-sided player insisted that he is happy to join the Italian Champions, and is looking to grow his career at the club. He insisted that playing for Milan is a dream for every player, and he also used to fascinate playing for them in his boyhood days.
The 27-year-old is pleased with the welcome he received from his teammates, and is looking to maintain a strong bond with them.
Mesbah is looking to adjust himself instantly in the Rossoneri conditions and make himself available for selection immediately.
While talking to the reporters,
“I am pleased and proud to have signed with Milan. I arrive with great humility and desire to grow. Arriving at Milanello was impressive, my new teammates have all been very kind to me on my first day too.”
It is expected that Massimiliano Allegri might start him in the left-back role, following http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 recently. The Nigerian has joined the English Premier League side on-loan for the remainder of the season after struggling to make an impact at San Siro.
Mesbah is ready to play in any position his manager wants him in, and insisted that he has played in defence for Lecce too.
“I hope to fit quickly so as to make myself immediately available to the Coach. I’ve scored a few goals in my career, especially when playing wide in midfield. In Lecce, I have been working mainly as a defender, but I also like to play in the opponents’ half.” added the Algerian
Milan will travel to Stadio Silvio Piola on Sunday, January 22, 2012. The Rossoneri are placed second in the league table, only one point behind leaders, Juventus.
