Question:

Djokovic + Nadal = The Future?

Get off your seats and salute these two men. AJDE NOLE and VAMOS RAFA.

I just finished watching a replay and match of the year BY FAR.

These two have to meet in more finals. I mean compare this to the stale Djokovic-Federer matches or even worse Nadal-Federer matches.

I am a Djokovic Fan but i love Rafa aswell. The way he won't stop fighting is unbelievable(0-3: 15-40 in the 1st set). The first set decided this match. I just wish Nole could of held it together. However Rafael is still no.2 and still "King of Clay".

Who agrees these two are the undisputed future of mens tennis?

Who wants them to be in seperate draws at Roland Garros so we can see a epic 5 set final?

  1. They should never put Nadal and Djokovic in the same half of the draw on clay.Nadal should wait in the final for a winner between Federer and Djokovic. It is only fair that way.

  2. FEDERER IS LIKE TIGER WOODS. DOMINANT

THE FUTURE IS DJOKOVIC AND NADAL WELL SAID BIG FELLA

  3. Djokovic is my favorite player also, and I can't wait for them to be ranked #1 and #2 (Nole at #1 of course) so they don't have to keep meeting in the SF of slams and Masters Series events.

  4. Nadal and Federer are always exciting - both masters neither play gamesmanship - both filled with heart and ability.

Djokovic can hit those lines and brings a certain tremble to a match because you can never be sure if he will still be there

    in the final set.

He likes to 'act out' points - particularly if he is losing.

I'm still wondering why he confirmed that a ball was 'out'

when Nadal wasn't questioning the call.

Could he have been trying to upset Nadals rhythm?

The spectators part in watching a Djokovic game consists of observing, and applauding, his many face contortions and body mannerisms. He added a new one in his match with Nadal - not particularly attractive but I hadn't seen it before.

He is certainly full of bluff.

Both Nadal and Federer have shown him they've seen it all before.

I think Djokovic believes in the theory 'a lie told often enough becomes the truth'.

So if I say - I will be king - I will be king.

I've sent him a copy of Hans Christian Anderson's lovely story

    "The Emperors New Clothes".......

  5. I agree they will always have compelling matches, especially since Nole seems to always learn and take something away from each loss.

However, I'm afraid that the way Nadal plays will limit his longevity.  He will break down as he gets older, because his body won't hold up.  There is a reason Federer NEVER gets injured and Nadal is always hurt and burnt out going into the summer hard court season.  And he is only 21, but already having knee problems.  Federer was making more finals than Nadal (until recently), but staying healthy.

I think Nole vs. Federer is more likely an ongoing battle, as Nole plays better on all surfaces and will probably sustain it better, given the way he plays and his more complete game.

But NO ONE fights harder than Rafa, for sure...

  6. agree

  7. I agree with your opinion of yesterday's match. It was the most thrilling thing in tennis I have seen for a long time.

Djk.'s tennis was unbelievable and he was doing all the right things to beat rafa's game(fast, play, fast balls, going up to the net(over 40 times!) and it would have worked on anyone else...... except rafa!!    That guy's will to win is unbelievable.

However, today I read an interview of rafa with the Spanish press and he says that there is no stopping Djk and that in a very short time Djk will be number 1 and that he,rafa, was just really happy to have won the game today(yesterday).

It would seem as if rafa doesn't have as much faith in his own future as he does in Djokovic's??

Is he too modest about his own talent or too much of a realist?

  8. they are both good players...

  9. Yeah, the young bloods will soon replace the aging Fed coz' time is really catching up on Fed right now & it seems he's on a downhill trend, while Rafa & Nole are on an uphill climb. Pretty soon we will have a new hero & see if they can beat records accomplished by the great legends as well.
