Djokovic aims to lead Serbia to the finals

Novak Djokovic is aiming to get back on track after a huge disappointment this week, and he wants to avenge his so-so performance by leading Serbia to its first-ever Davis Cup final this
weekend.

The current world number two, Djokovic, will try to bounce back from a humbling and painful defeat against Spanish ace Rafael Nadal in the US Open Championship finals.

Djokovic displayed an impressive form in his five-set win over Roger Federer in the semi-finals, but he fell short against Nadal, as the reigning world number one was simply more determined
to complete his career Grand Slam.

"I cannot hide the disappointment, but I'm not going to cry or complain about that," Djokovic said. "Of course, I am feeling bad about my loss but I know I gave my maximum to beat Nadal."

The 22-year old Serbian tennis star will now shift his focus to the Davis Cup, as the his country is set to face Czech Republic in Belgrade, and Djokovic vowed to bring his "A" game to help
his country earn a spot in the finals.

The duel of two power-house countries will start off with a singles match between Djokovic and Radek Stepanek, which will be followed by an equally-exciting clash between Janko Tipsarevic
and world number seven Tomas Berdych.

Serbia came off from emphatic victories over United States and Croatia, which earned them a spot in the final four, but the Czech Republic, which is gunning for a second-straight finals appearance,
will be a huge road-block for the Serbians.

The winner of the Czech Republic-Serbia match will face either France or Argentina.

France, who shocked the world by ousting reigning champions Spain in the quarter-finals, will slug it out against the Argentinians, who are looking to make return trip to finals after finishing
second in the 2006 and 2008 edition of the tournament.

France will play without team captain Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, but world number 15 Gael Monfils is ready to fill in the gap left by the injured tennis star.

"For an emotional player like me to play in the Davis Cup is just something unbelievable," Monfils said.
