Did anyone else notice that one of djokovic's serve vs. nadal came up on the radar gun at 250 km/h (155 mph) which would tie the record. i watched the match online and saw that serve and IMO there was no way that serve was that fast. First of all it was out wide and it looked like like it was a kicker. Does anyone have any info about this.

  1. I remember that...it was an ace. I don't know if it was correctly measured (and the second serve measurement at 248 kmh it's really weird), but if it was, it's just incredible for djokovic.

  2. I went online and checked. This is the answer. Answer: 250 km = 155.342 mi.

  3. Nole hit the fastest serve ever recorded in the match against Nadal today, just beating Roddick's record. It was 250 km/h. Lol, oh it didnt look that fast, but i dunno.

  4. Yes I remember exactly what you're talking about and I was a bit perplexed after I saw that (I pulled out a calculator later on and was really surprised). In fact, it even lists that one serve as Djokovic's fastest serve in the match report.

Also under fastest second serve, it lists 154 mph! I don't remember that one, but there's no way a second serve could be that fast...I'm assuming that this was some sort of error. In matches it is fairly common that a serve looks nowhere as fast as it says on the radar gun, but not to this degree.

  5. No that can not be right Djokovic. As it is Djokovic struggles to get 130mph with his first let alone on his second serve. U can safely put this as a glich in the system! otherwise people would be raving how djokovic equalled roddicks record.

  6. whatt??? :(

i can't believe this, novak doesn't seem to be able to serve like that, the radar must've been wrong, but it's on the stats.-

andy can't even have one thing for himself!!!

  7. Yay, it's awesome :)

I saw it and it's really fast :)
