Djokovic started his Swiss Indoor Championship campaign with a win
The Swiss Indoors Tennis Championship, which is being held in Switzerland, is sailing smooth. In a very recent match the second seed for the tournament and the current World number three, Novak Djokovic saw off his Latvian rival Ernests Gulbis after a very
convincing battle of tennis.
In the match against twenty-two year old Gulbis, Djokovic dominated the court pretty well and didn’t give a single chance to Gulbis to return into the match. In the first set of the match the Latvian showed a better game as compared to the second set. But
it was the Serb, who stole the show and hammered the opponent in two sets by 6-4 and 6-2.
After the match Novak Djokovic seemed pretty satisfied with his performance and expressed his views in a relaxed mood. He told the media that it was a good day for him and so far he is pretty happy with the outcome. He added and said that he has to stay
fit because the real challenge is still ahead.
While talking about the challenge from Gulbis Ernests, the Serbian said that Ernests is a good player and the first match of a tournament is always a crucial match and he is happy that he managed to keep his head to settle the brawl according to his desire.
He continued and said that to get into the rhythm of the game it is always important to win the first match of a tournament and now he is feeling much more confident and motivated than before. He added and said that the current World number twenty-four can
be a dangerous player but he used his experience to outclass the Latvian.
Djokovic is looking strong and playing brilliantly well. It is also to be memorized that the Serb is defending his title at Basel as last year the twenty-three year old thrashed the Swiss veteran Roger Federer in the final of the Swiss Indoor and won the
event.
The Serb is aiming to finish the tennis season in a glorious way and with his recent performance the former world number two has shown that he is ready to give a strong challenge to all other rivals for the rest of the season. Currently, the Serb is aiming
to participate in the (Association of Tennis Professionals) Tennis event, which will be held in London, later this month.
By winning the first match of the Swiss Indoor tennis championship, Novak Djokovic has conveyed a strong message to the other tennis stars that he is ready to defend his title. The tournament will get more and more exciting in the further stages as the Swiss
veteran Roger Federer is also looking strong and eager to end the session in a better way.
The current World number three will now face the tennis ace from Finland, Jarkko Nieminen or the twenty-three years old Daniel Brands from Germany in the second round of the tournament.

In the other important matches of the tournament the second ranked Serbian and current world number thirty-two Viktor Troicki played brilliantly well and hammered his German opponent, Michael Berrer after a very convincing match. The twenty-four year old Troicki
took control of the match 6-3, 6-0.
Now Viktor Troicki will face Paul-Henri Mathieu of Germany or Florian Mayer of Germany in his second round match.
On the other hand another Serbian tennis star Janko Tipsarevic and current World number forty-six saw off his rival Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan. Twenty-four years old Uzbek gave a very strong challenge to Tipsarevic but in the end it was the Serbian’s day
as he clutched the victory with a remarkable effort 6-2 and 6-4. Tipsarevic will now meet Roger Federer in his upcoming match.
