  1. good news...............

we will get to see a tight match

  2. it is good for me because it will be exciting match whenever these two play each other.  i just cannot wait.

  3. Good news as you always want to see the best tennis and both of the player are amazing though i am supporting federer,,my all time favourite...

  4. it would be good. a potential semifinal rematch for the mighty fed and the djoker.

it would also be good for nadal and his fans, no? ;-)

  5. bad

  6. By the way you asked the question, I'm assuming you're asking is it good news for Federer.  In all honesty, it probably isn't.  You can spew all you want about how it will be a good warm-up, how Djokovic will make him go to that next level, etc.  But looking at it from a Federer's fan point of view, it's bad news.  Not that I don't think Federer would win a potential matchup between the two assuming he doesn't have mono... :-P, but it's still obviously tougher than any semi-final match that Nadal could face.

Looking at it from just a tennis fans' point of view, or my own, who loves Federer but is starting to like Djokovic a little bit, I think it's great that they're drawn together.  Despite the fact that Nadal and Federer are great rivals, Djokovic and Federer have the potential to be a better one.  While Nadal and Federer love and respect each other, Djokovic and his family have shown some disrespect and have made some questionable comments about the Fed-Express.  That type of off-the-court stuff brings things to a boil when they meet at a level as great as center courte at the All-England Club.  The atmosphere was absolutely electric when they ran into each other in Melbourne and despite Fed's mono he still helped Djokovic put on an incredible show for the fans.

So for Federer fans (myself still included I guess) it's worrisome and probably is bad news.  But for the casual tennis fan who wants to see a great match or for the networks who want to see big ratings, it's the tennis equivalent to the Lakers facing the Celtics in the NBA finals.

  7. Bad, since I want to see Fed and Nole (Djokovic) play in the final, but sadly I won't see that since there draws make them potential play in the semifinals.

  8. here comes my question:in what is possible this match?!?

it'll be the derby of tennis again...............federer will win without a problem.........he is better at wimbledon than nole is.......

  9. I didnt think I'd be this gutted... but Im pretty gutted.

  10. Good. Allows Fed a good warm-up to the Nadal match.

And allows Fed a chance at retribution for the AO. If an ill Fed kept it close at the AO Semi a healthy Fed will dominate Novak at Wimby.

  11. It's very bad news for Federer. There is no doubt that Novak will take him out in the semis (if Roger gets this far). Novak is a brute on court and I'm sure he's still ticked that Roger beat him at the US, even though it was Novak's match to win. He wasted Federer at the AO. He's young and hungry, and is getting stronger by the month. The only threat to him is Nadal.
