Dmitri Bulykin: PSV Eindhoven and Vitesse were also interested in signing me – Eredivisie news

day of the summer transfer window from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394.
The Russian ace had an exceptional 2010/11 season while playing on loan at ADO Den Haag. The 31-year-old netted an impressive 21 goals in 30 appearances last term. His good performances were enough to catch the eye of Frank de Boer, De Joden head coach,
who was in search of a striker to provide cover for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
The veteran striker revealed that apart from the Amsterdammers, PSV and Vitesse also expressed interest in taking his signature.
“PSV, what should I say? It is true that they contacted with the club, but never with me. I told my agent to only inform me about the concrete offers. was quoted as saying to the media.
The vastly experienced hitman revealed that his new coach, Frank de Boer, has defined a clear role for him and he would be looking to revel in that.
“De Boer was clear about what he expects from me this season. Good games and goals. He told me that he will use me accordingly with Sigthorsson. I scored 21 goals last term for ADO. I will not say that I am going to score again as many, but I do not suggest
that it is impossible”, Bulykin concluded.
The arrival of the former Russian International has certainly enhanced De Boer’s selection options upfront. Furthermore, the striker’s arrival has also boosted the Amsterdammers’ chances of defending their Eredivisie title. However, they must excel in every
department on the pitch to brighten up their chances of achieving success in UEFA Champions League this season.
