Dmitri Cheryshev remains tight lipped over joining Mordovia Saransk and SKA-Energiya – Football News
Former Volga Nizhny Novgorod head coach, Dmitri Cheryshev, has remained coy over his future despite being linked with a move to either Mordovia Saransk or FC SKA-Energiya this summer.
“I have an agent, who has been with me since I was living in Spain. He tells me about every offer in detail of course when there is an interest from a good side. He asks for my permission before starting any negotiation.
“I personally do not call but I trust my agent and I wait for information from him,” The former Dynamo Moscow striker was quoted as saying.
The 44-year-old, who resigned from the managerial position at Lokomotiv Stadium after failing to help the Russian Premier League club in securing top half of the league table finish, said that his agent is doing all the hard work
behind the scenes.
The Saransk-based club has been relegated from the Russian top division this season after finishing 15th this season. However, they managed to improve their standings after leapfrogging Alania Vladikavkaz at the bottom
spot on the league table.
SKA-Energiya, on the other hand, may seek promotion to the Premier League should they win the promotion play-off round. The Russian outfit finished fourth on the Russian National Football League (NFL) last season.
Speaking on his son’s future, Dmitri Cheryshev said:
“Different clubs are interested in Denis and they are all from different countries and championships. He has received two concrete proposals at present but I would not like to highlight the name of the clubs who are interested,”
he concluded.
