  1. It's simple:

    1. Ask the technical support personnel of the hosting provider the following questions (unless you already have that information):

1.a What are the (FQDN) names and IP addresses of the DNS servers of my hosting service? The reply might be something like this:

      * Primary DNS server name: ns1.dnsserversname.com

      * Primary DNS server IP address: 5.0.0.1

      * Secondary DNS server name: ns2.dnsserversname.com

      * Secondary DNS server IP address: 5.0.0.2

1.b Did you register my domain name, servers names and their IP addresses in your DNS servers? For example, if your domain name is yahoo.com, ask them if the registered yahoo.com (domain name) and www.yahoo.com (Web server name).

    2. At the domain name provider ("registrar"), provide the names and IP addresses of your hosting provider, that is, the answer to question 1.a (above).

    3. Well, there's no step 3. That's all you have to do.

  2. You need to assign DNS servers for your domain with the company you registered it with.

I think most companies that register domain names also provide DNS services.  You need to find out what IP your site will be hosted on and tell your DNS providor to point your domain name to that IP address.
