Do 125's and 250's race together in motocross races?

  1. Well, yes and no.

    125 2-strokes and 250f 4-strokes do. But no one really ever races 125 2-strokes anymore, so they changed the class name from "125" to "Lites".


  2. In The USA they can and do. In the Vet class which is 30 to 40 year olds, you can ride any size bike you want. Same goes with the 25+ and Senior and Super Senior.

  3. I guess that depends a lot on what country you are in.  Where I am the 125cc is still being raced although I think that the other answer is right in that they are slowly becoming a bike that is not chosen for racing and the 250cc 4 stroke is taking over.

    Even so the 125cc don't always race in a class of their own here but it depends upon what race meet you are at.  Some call the class Junior Lites  or Senior Lites and then the 125cc 2 strokes race against the 250cc 4 strokes and other race meets they race separately.

    Perhaps contact your local clubs to find out for sure either way,  but if you are American then the first answerer is most likely got the right information for  you.
