Do 2 berth touring caravans have braked chasis?

Question

I am considering buying a caravan, My car log book indicates that my maximum trailer weight is 500 Kg unbraked, 1300 Kg braked. My car is a new Fiat Bravo, the size of a ford focus. I only ask because I have seen cars of similar size towing caravans.

any trailer that weight over 750KG GVW have brakes so I would think the answer is yes

I would think most if not all Caravans have brakes these days, and if I was you I would make sure that it has even if it is a small one , if you have to brake sharp with a trailer that has no brakes then you are going to have some damage.
