When I was in 2nd grade, (18 years ago) love letters were passed around in class, we kissed each other on the hands then ran away, and said "I love you" to each other. Does that still happen nowadays so young??

  1. I hope not, because in today society sexual gesture and internet, movie is a big thing. It will influence the kid no matter what. I don't want to see it happen in elementary school kid, maybe in high school but definitely not elementary

  2. My twins are in Kindergarten and they already said they have a girlfriend!!!  I was not like this at all as a kid, I keep telling them to stay away from girls...

  3. yes id say they would, but not serious as in like and older person. But in there own sort of ways yes they would. I think thats realy normal and a part of growing up, i guess they would also learn alot from that aswell. In a way its the way that they form friendships with the opposite s*x.. they see older people with a boyfriend or girlfriend and they think well why cant i?

    Pretty normal

  4. it's ok. you dont want those little kiddies to be in the middle.

  5. well... it depends... usually yes... but today kids don't know what they're doing half the time.  so i wouldn't say they are really gf/bf dating type but just having some immature fun.

  6. 2nd grade? Are you kidding me? Some of these answers baffle me. When I hear small kids saying the have a bf or gf I have enough sense to know in 2nd grade I'm sure they are not running to a hotel down the road. Kids are kids you have to know when to not make a big deal out of it and know when to say I don't think so Mr or Miss! Don't you remember liking someone and saying that? They don't really know the meaning, most think just liking someone makes them you BF or GF....by next week it will be forgotten.

  7. Yeah it does still go around like that. I should know since I'm a elem. teacher, but it's still just as innocent as it was when we were kids. Not all the kids are like that, just some of the bit more mature ones or the ones that exposed to that type of thing at home from influences like watching older siblings , t.v., or what ever else they see in their environment.

  8. Probably, but of course it's not serious.

  9. Nope. Worse happens. My sister said the girls at school tease her because she doesn't have a boyfriend. The girls tell her that they makeout and have s*x and the boys are feeling on them. Maybe a sign of abuse. Who really knows? The teacher won't do anything when my sister tells. I just tell her to say they'll end up 15 and pregnant and ignore them. they don't have good home lives.

  10. My son is in kindergarten and he has like 3 girl friends, not to mention the teacher informed me that EVERY girl in the class likes him....

    save me!

  11. I hope not.

  12. i hope not!!!!

    its sorta g*y

  13. It is still around but I think these days it is not as innocent. Kids nowdays seem to be exposed to a lot worse tv and even cartoons often are full of sexual gestures, adults often dont sheild children from the rated r or x stuff like they use to and that is what makes what could ahve been innocent bad. My 3rd grade daughter had a "boyfriend" she had come home talking about for a week. Then I get a call from the school that a boy a grade ahead and 2 years older then her(turned out to be the "boyfriend" was touching her and kissing her innapropriatly. Kids know more then they are able to understand.

  14. when they do things like that, its not like boyfriends/girlfriends at all when they get older. this is kinda that little crush thing, and they really dont know what BF/GF really means as much as they think.
